WTOが正式に運営

世界貿易機関（World Trade Organization、WTO）は1995年1月1日に正式に稼動した。1986年のウルグアイラウンド交渉（Uruguay Round negotiations）の成果に基づいて設立され、このラウンド交渉は多国間貿易交渉委員会（Multilateral Trade Negotiations Committee）が主導した。このラウンド交渉では、164の加盟国が貿易とビジネスルールに関する世界的な合意に達した。
